Abstract:		 The watching brief comprised the observation by a competent archaeologist of all intrusive groundworks associated with the proposed development. These works comprised the removal of topsoil and subsoil, prior to mineral extraction In June 2022, Cotswold Archaeology carried out an archaeological watching brief during groundworks associated with mineral extraction at Rugeley Quarry, Rugeley, Staffordshire. No features or deposits of archaeological interest were observed, and no artefactual material was recovered.
