Abstract:		 The archaeological watching brief was undertaken following the methodology that was detailed in the Written Scheme of Investigation (PCA 2021), which was approved by Historic England on behalf of the Secretary of State in keeping with Scheduled Monument Consent. The watching brief was carried out on the 25th of February 2021. The monitored ground works included ground reduction of 0.1m across the whole footprint of the extension, and excavation of a 0.3m wide trench measuring a further 0.3m deep on the north and south sides of the area and a further 0.4m deep on the east and west sides of the area. The foundation groundwork was formed as proposed and revealed modern deposits throughout; no archaeological features, deposits or finds were identified. The modern deposits and the depth at which they were recorded was consistent with what was revealed by the prior evaluation.
