Headland Archaeology (UK) Ltd was commissioned by Knights Garth Organic Eggs to undertake an archaeological evaluation by trial trenching, as a condition of a planning permission (ref 20/02046/PLF)for the creation of a poultry unit and associated infrastructure, on land south-west of Wolds Edge, East Riding of Yorkshire. The site lies within a rich archaeological landscape containing archaeological activity from the Mesolithic period onwards. Three trial trenches were excavated all of which were devoid of archaeological features or finds. Three trial trenches were excavated all of which were devoid of archaeological features or finds.
