Abstract:		 Groundworks were observed during the restoration and installation of an interpretation panel at Southway Roman Church, Colchester. The works monitored the removal and replacement of a terram and gravel layer and wooden posts, and the excavation of a posthole for an interpretation panel. Nothing of archaeological significance was recovered.
