The archaeological works consisted of a watching brief which did not identify any archaeological features or finds. The comprehensive watching brief was carried out at three sites; Two Mile Spinney, Rookery Crossroads and Millfield Plantation. Few archaeological remains were encountered. Activities in the area during the Mesolithic, Neolithic, Bronze Age and Iron Age were indicated by the recovery of struck flints mostly from subsoil deposits. Previously unknown archaeological remains were revealed at Rookery Crossroads and comprised medieval and post-medieval ditches probably representing land partition and agricultural use during these periods. There appeared to be no correlation with earthworks identified at this location, confirmed as being of 19th century date. The results of a topographical survey of these earthworks within the road corridor to the north of Ravenwood Hotel and the two mounds at Two Mile Spinney were presented. The relocation of a milestone at Rookery Crossroads was carried-out and required a photographic survey to be made. No archaeological remains were present at Millfield Plantation and there was no evidence for the existence of a Roman Road postulated to have been in this area. [Au(abr)]

An archaeological evaluation by trial trenching was carried out at '15 Austin Street, King's Lynn, Norfolk in June/July 2007 prior to proposed residential development of the site. The earliest activities were evidenced by a small quantity of medieval pottery recovered during excavations. Evidence of Late medieval/early Post-medieval dumping of domestic refuse was present confirming activities of this date known to the west of the site. Modern structural remains were encountered and probable medieval/early Post-medieval remains that may be associated with Austin House or the remains of footings of a medieval stone building that survive under the southwest corner of the house. No remains associated with the nearby St. Nicholas' Chapel were present.

Archaeological monitoring was carried out during groundworks associate with the construction of a residential extension. No archaeological remains were encountered.

Evaluation by trial trenching prior to residential development revealed a probable quarry pit of medieval date. No further archaeological remains were present.

Archaeological monitoring during groundworks associated with a new building associated with the Norfolk and Norwich Blind Association. No archaeological finds, features or deposits were present. No archaeological remains were encountered.

Archaeological monitoring during groundworks associated with the construction of a new residential dwelling and detached garage following a desk-based assessment at the same site of a former manor house. A previously unknown cellar associated with the former manor house was revealed. No further archaeological remains were encountered.

An archaeological watching brief was carried out at St. Mary's Parish Church, South Walsham Norfolk on 13 October 2010 during excavations associated with surface water drainage. A disturbed 19th century grave was identified within the edge of a new soakaway and a small quantity of human bone remains was recovered. No further finds or features of archaeological significance were present.

Archaeological monitoring during residential development. No archaeological finds, features or deposits were present and there were no indications of a Late Saxon defensive ditch known to exist in this area.
