Saxmundham, 32 High Street (SXM 035, TM 3876 6319) a level 2 historic building survey of a former commercial property that was a butchers business for c170 years from its construction in the earlier 19th century and before its demolition was carried out. The building is largely brick built with timber clad extensions to the rear (Wilson Compton Associates for Hopkins Homes)

Summary: Pentney Abbey, Pentney, Norfolk (HER- ENF-125410, TF 7011 1210) monitoring of ground works for a new septic tank and related drains and overflow revealed little of archaeological interest. The only features comprised a Post medieval field drain, a possible wall foundation on a similar alignment to existing Post medieval structures and a modern pit.

Monitoring of ground works for a small extension within the historic core of Walberswick, Suffolk, did not reveal any archaeological features but 8 sherds of medieval coarseware and 5 sherds of late medieval transitional ware plus a fragment of lava quern stone were recovered from the subsoil.

Watching brief on ground works for an extension

Evaluation trenching of a single proposed house plot within the area of a BA barrow group revealed no archaeological features. A moderate quantity of lead waste was recovered which is probably associated with the construction of the adjacent early 19th century Baptist Chapel.

Evaluation trenching for a potato store and associated concrete pad within an area containing aerial photographic evidence for past features and in aprticular land boundaries.

Monitoring of foundations for an Orangery, revealed brick foundations for an 19th century outbuilding and a probable garden soil.

Archaeological trial trenching was undertaken on a single house plot site in the centre of a small hamlet situated on a cross roads which held a small settlement on a 1777 map of Essex and was close or on a green of probable medieval date.

Evaluation by trenching of a c1h proposed agricultural reservoir. Westley Hall Farm, Westley (WLY 011, TL 8195 6452) evaluation trenching for a proposed agricultural reservoir just to the north of the site of the medieval church at in the parish revealed ditches from at least three periods of field system. While the number of finds recovered was very low a definite Post medieval and probable later prehistoric and medieval phases of activity were identified. Environmental evidence was also sparse but did support pre-Saxon activity in the area. The only non-ditch type feature was a slot or trench with possible post settings in its base; this feature is undated and it is uncertain whether it represents another element in a land division system or part of a structure.
