SK 978717. The Lincoln pottery sequence has been considerably extended by stratified groups dated by architectural and documentary evidence from the Palace. Two groups from the kitchen courtyard are of second half of 12th century, three belong to 15th, and another to 18th. The rarity of non-Lincoln wares is notable in such a residence. Details of small finds, glass, animal remains, and pottery including a note on urinals are given.

The Anglo-Saxon cemetery at Fonaby, Lincolnshire
Alison M Cook
TA 110032. Catalogue of material salvaged from the parish of Caistor in the late 1950s: 49 inhumation grave groups and 28 AS pots and cremation vessels are reported along with many unstratified objects. Mostly of 6th century date, the objects betoken a prosperous community, and an unusually high number of textile remains is included. The cemetery is discussed in its Lindsey context.
