We are excited to announce that the Ariadne Portal has now exceeded more than 4 million resources! Since the inception of the portal in 2022, it has quickly grown to provide a huge array of archaeological resources from across Europe.
The ADS provides access to more than 1 million resources to the portal and we aim to continue our contributions to grow this resource in the years to come.
The ARIADNE Research Infrastructure is a comprehensive research infrastructure for archaeology, serving as a centralised hub for archaeologists, researchers, and educators to explore a vast array of digital datasets, collections, and services.
The ARIADNE RI has more than 25 members and associate members from organisations from around Europe. The goal of the ARIADNE RI is to support archaeological research, learning, and teaching by facilitating access to digital archives created through excavations, fieldwork, and laboratory projects across Europe.
The ARIADNE portal works by aggregating data from partner institutions, offering a user-friendly interface for searching and accessing diverse archaeological resources from across Europe. By making previously scattered digital archives readily available, the ARIADNE portal enables researchers to build upon existing knowledge and advance the field of archaeology in the digital age.
