TETRARCHs Exhibition Opening

This June, the University of York will host an exhibition featuring several remarkable artists as part of the Transforming Data Reuse in Archaeology (TETRARCHs) project!

On the 6th and 7th of June, visitors to the King’s Manor can experience a time limited exhibition featuring the artists Eloise Moody and Chloé Dierckx. Eloise and Chloé worked with the TETRACHs team over the last two years to co-create and assess the storytelling potential of archaeological data.

The Artists

Eloise Moody will exhibit “All of It Happened and Some of It’s True,” a 5-meter by 7-meter embroidered document crafted from silk and 22-carat gold leaf. This remarkable piece captures the thoughts and dreams of archaeologists exploring questions about time and existence, and will be ceremonially buried in an excavation trench in Greece this July.

Chloé Dierckx will showcase “Sunrises,” an innovative project based on the archaeological site of Toumba Serron in Greece. Her work takes the form of tarot-inspired cards that weave together ancient artifacts with contemporary stories and objects from local inhabitants, creating connections between past, present, and future.

The exhibition opens with a special reception at 5 PM on June 6, 2025, followed by public viewing June 6-7 from 10 AM to 6 PM at King’s Manor, University of York.
