TETRARCHs Seminar – Building an anti-colonial digital archaeology through FAIR and CARE data governance principles

We are excited to announce the next seminar of the Transforming data rE-use in ARCHaeology (TEtrARCHs) project.

Dr. Neha Gupta from the University of British Columbia will present on ‘Building an anti-colonial digital archaeology through FAIR and CARE data governance principles’.

The seminar will take place at 17:30 (GMT) on Wednesday 8th May 2024.

Dr. Gupta will share research conducted with Westbank First Nation archaeologists and their experience in enacting Indigenous Data Governance principles in archaeology and digital heritage. Gupta will discuss the process of contextualising FAIR and CARE practices for cultural heritage in American archaeology as a way to build an anti-colonial digital archaeology.
