Collection Title CITiZAN: the Coastal and Intertidal Zone Archaeological Network
Description CITiZAN, the Coastal and InterTidal Zone Archaeological Network, is a community archaeology and citizen science project set up as a direct response to these threats. We raise awareness of our island heritage threatened by coastal erosion and climate change, train local communities to better identify and record this heritage and support our volunteers to monitor change over the long-term. Our volunteers contribute vital local knowledge and experience and are champions of their coastal and intertidal heritage.
