4210 Accidental Healed fracture view

The distal left ulna midshaft is expanded with a callus of remodelled lamellar bone. This likely reflects a well healed fracture (oblique or transverse). No overlap or rotation is visible. The distal ulna joint surface is not present . No evidence of fracture to the left radius or opposing arm (although the R. arm is more fragmented). Isolated fractures of the ulna may result from direct violence (a blow or striking the arm against a sharp edge) (McRae 2003, 308) X ray

Long bone segment note: When an entry is made into the L1 table – in the example entries for a left and right femur – the application validates the entry made. In this case a three character binary array is expected indicating the presence or absence of the proximal, shaft and distal thirds of the bone, e.g. 101, 111, 010, 110, 011.
