| Description | WSP UK Ltd (WSP) has been commissioned by Shropshire Council to undertake an archaeological desk-based assessment in support of the planning application for the proposed improvement of the existing Mile End Roundabout on the Oswestry Bypass, hereafter referred to as the “Proposed Scheme”. The Proposed Scheme is located at the junction of the A5, A483 and B4579 Shrewsbury Road (National Grid Reference 330992 328617), and will allow future access to the proposed Oswestry Innovation Park and alleviate congestion. |

| Description | WSP has been commissioned by Shropshire Council (the Client) to produce a Written Scheme of Investigation (WSI) for a programme of archaeological mitigation in advance of improvements to the existing Mile End Roundabout on the Oswestry Bypass, Shropshire, hereafter referred to as ‘the Proposed Scheme’. A planning application in support of the Proposed Scheme (Ref: 20/00283/FUL) was submitted to Shropshire Council on 24th January 2020 and advice received by Shropshire Council from the Shropshire Historic Environment Team suggests that an archaeological planning condition would be attached to the permission, should consent be granted. |
