This collection comprises reports, images, site records, and CAD files from an archaeological excavation. This was carried out on land north of 63 Rectory Road, Stisted, Essex, CM77 8AL in advance of the construction of a residential developmen, by Colchester Archaeological Trust in May 2021.

Located within the historic village of Stisted, which is likely of medieval origin, an evaluation in February 2021 revealed prehistoric pits and medieval ditches, a gully/plough scar and pit. An area covering 29.5 square meters (measuring 170m²) was machine excavated under the supervision of a CAT (Colchester Archaeological Trust) archaeologist. The excavation area was located over the western half of evaluation trench T1. Open area excavation of the northernmost residential plot uncovered a small number of Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age pits, pits/ditches and postholes/stakeholes. Archaeological monitoring on the access road uncovered the continuation of a ditch identified in the evaluation.
