Introduction
This collection consists of images, reports, spreadsheets, vector graphics and site record data from an archaeological trial trenching evaluation by Headland Archaeology (UK) Ltd. Work occurred at Hall Farm, Northwold, Thetford, Norfolk, from September to October 2022. The evaluation consisted of the excavation of 103 trial trenches across the development area targeting potential archaeological anomalies from a previous geophysical survey.
Nine archaeological features were recorded across the 17.7Ha site which provided evidence of post medieval and modern field boundaries and ridge and furrow systems. Late prehistoric activity within the area was also found within the fills of refuse pits this included some highly abraded lithic fragments and pottery sherds.
