Introduction

This collection comprises images, site records, and GIS data from an archaeological evaluation at Metley Farm, West Ogwell, Devon. This work was undertaken by ISCA Archaeology in September 2023.
The evaluation consisted of eight trenches which allowed for the identification, investigation, and recording of any exposed archaeological or artefactual deposits. No archaeological features, deposits or artefacts were exposed during the evaluation.
The results showed that substantial landscaping/terracing had occurred during the modern period in the north of the site. In trench 4, the remains of a modern brick pump house were exposed. In the south, deposits were better preserved and the absence of archaeology suggests that features/deposits associated with the extant farm building were either located close to the building (outside of the evaluation) or had been in the north and had been truncated away by the modern landscaping.
