This collection comprises GIS files and geophysics data from a geophysical survey across circa 0.8 hectares of land to the south of Preston Capes Manor, near Daventry, Northamptonshire.

MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) was commissioned to undertake a magnetometer and earth resistance surveys from November 2022 to May 2024. The two surveyed sites were circa 400 meters apart.

A few sparse features which may have been of slight archaeological interest but were too scattered and fragmentary to interpret in detail were identified in Site 1. In Site 2 the magnetometer survey of circa 3 hectares east of Stowe Road recorded part of a medieval park pale and a small concentration of ditches and other features which appeared to be archaeologically significant but could not be interpreted more specifically.

Slight magnetic responses were detected from previously known archaeological earthworks, but these lay outside the area directly impacted by the proposed development. Some drains and other modern features were also detected.
