Overview
The Aisled Building Database contains the following principal fields. For definitions of the codes, use the links on the Query page.

HEL date | HEL date | Date/date range given in HE List (included to give an indication of the date for otherwise undated buildings). 'early medieval' is assigned as 13th century, 'medieval' or 'late medieval' as 15th century. If the date clearly does not relate to the aisled building, it is ignored. | No |
Cent | Century | Assigned from the preceding fields in order of preference: tree-ring date, then other date, then HEL date (used for general analysis). A '00' date, e.g. 1300, is assigned as the later century ('14' rather than '13'). The century is not included for buildings rejected as not Aisled. | Yes |
