Introduction
This collection consists of images from an archaeological evaluation by University of Leicester Archaeological Services, at The Old Barn, Merry Tom Lane, Brixworth, Northamptonshire, in February 2016.
Planning permission has been granted for a new dwelling at the site (PA: DA/2013/0993). In accordance with National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) a programme of archaeological work informed by an archaeological field evaluation was undertaken in mitigation of the impact of the proposed development. The results of the evaluation show no remains of archaeological interest were present within the trenches.
