| Description | Following excavation work at Walltown Crags in October 2020, further consolidation of the curtain Wall at that location, and of Turret 44b Mucklebank, took place in November 2020. Heritage Consolidation re-placed and tail bedded slipped facing stones, and others were reset without tail bedding, 25m of exposed core stones were consolidated and turf plugs were placed to support the stones. At Mucklebank turret, loose stonework was consolidated and where necessary tail bedded, and the top of the wall was turfed. The work focused on the SE corner of the turret. |
