Abstract: | the author argues that the development of research agenda for Wales needs to take account of current and future priorities associated with recording, protecting and managing the historic environment. The paper briefly summarises Cadw's own work and that which it grant aids in this field; considers possible improvements to the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979; and looks at ways farming practices may change over the next few years and the impact these may have on the way we manage the historic environment |
