Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief on behalf of GC Developments UK plc was carried out on groundworks at 75B Studley Grange Road, Hanwell in the London Borough of Ealing. Groundworks involved the reduction of existing ground level by 0.75m within the footprint of a new house to be built there. Although the area is known for prehistoric finds and a Saxon cemetery was found nearby, no significant archaeological remains were found. Only modern, very recently made ground was recorded above natural river terrace gravel deposits.
