Abstract: |
Marsh Hall Barn was formerly of single aisled construction, but only fragments of the timber frame remained to be recorded, and much of the exterior has been rebuilt. Limited photographic and drawn recording was carried out at a late stage of the building's conversion, together with dendrochronological assessment, which indicated that sampling and analysis would not be fruitful, and so no more accurate date for the building can be postulated, than the previously assumed 17th century origin. |
