Abstract:		 The aim of the proposed work is to identify and objectively record by means of photographs and phase plans any significant architectural features and evidence for the original and subsequent historical form and functions of the court house, and to place this record in the public domain by depositing it with the West Yorkshire Historic Environment Record (the Registry of Deeds, Newstead Road, Wakefield WF1 2DE; tel. 01924 306797; email wyher@wyjs.org.uk). The building recorder on site should give particular attention to recording as far as possible the functional and access arrangements of the court house.
