Abstract: In September 2016 ADAS UK Ltd carried out an archaeological watching brief for UKPN for ground works for the replacement of part of an existing 33kV overhead line at Friar's Farm, Tindon End, Thaxted, Essex. The objective of the watching brief was to record all archaeological remains exposed during groundworks for the new cable trench. No features or artefacts of archaeological significance were observed during monitoring of the groundworks for the cable trench within the watching brief area.
