Abstract: |
Headland Archaeology undertook an Archaeological Watching Brief during the ground works for the erection of 5 dwellings and associated infrastructure on land adjacent to Keppels Gate, Defford, Worcestershire. This took place intermittently between 2nd July 2019 to 19th June 2020. The monitoring identified evidence for post-medieval land management, represented by linear drainage ditch (within plot 6) and field boundary, in the east of the development site. Furthermore, discreet pits or tree bowls were identified in the west part of the development site. No features or materials associated with potential burnt mound feature was encountered during the watching brief. |
