Abstract:		 In July 2021 a programme of archaeological observation, investigation and recording was undertaken by Humber Field Archaeology in advance of the construction of a detached dwelling and associated infrastructure on the land at 182 Westgate Road, Westgate, Belton, North Lincolnshire. The scheme of works identified that archaeological features and deposits were not present throughout the foundation trenches. Whilst nothing of significance was discovered within the excavations it is important to note that the area remains one of Special Historic Landscape Interest so, the area as a whole cannot be disregarded when it comes to archaeological potential. No artefacts were identified or retained as a result of this programme of work.
