Abstract: |
A pre-intervention level 3 record of the SW Bastion and Ha-ha at Our Lady, Seaton Delaval, was conducted in May 2021 prior to repairs being undertaken. Archaeological monitoring of the repairs was conducted. The construction of the bastion and ha-ha was shown to be consistent with that of the other 3 bastions. No evidence of pre-18th c. activity was recorded, and no human remains were encountered. |
