Abstract: |
Archaeological investigation of Bunker's Farm a Grade II listed 19th century farm. Investigation comprised four separate elements: Watching brief, strip, map and sample, historic building recording and trial trenching. Excavation conducted within the former extent of the demolished SW wing confirmed the presence of in-situ foundations associated with three 19th century farm buildings, while archaeological monitoring activities centred upon the proposed underground carpark immediately to the south of the site confirmed there were no underlying archaeological remains present. |
