Standing Building Survey (Level 1) AOC Archaeology Group was commissioned by Montagu Evans on behalf of SGN to undertake an historic buildings survey of the redundant gasholder at Sea Street, Herne Bay in Kent in advance of its decommissioning and demolition.
The gasholder was constructed in 1934 by the Newton Chambers Company. It is a three-lift spiral-guided gasholder in an above ground tank with the capacity of 50,000 feet. |
