Abstract: |
Watching brief during the excavation of five grounds investigation pits. No archeology found. The archaeological work, which comprised monitoring the excavation of five test pits, demonstrated that the site has suffered a significant degree of horizontal truncation associated with the construction of buildings in the early 1970s. This was most evident along the southern and eastern edges of the site, though the presence of a probable buried topsoil in two of the test pits, suggest that the western half of the site may be relatively unaffected by this later disturbance. No finds or features were observed. |
