Abstract: |
Archaeological Clerks of Works (ACoWs) were present during ground investigations (GI) along the footprint of the road infrastructure, turbine locations, proposed compound areas and borrow pits for the Viking Windfarm. Previous surveys had identified 97 archaeological sites within the development boundary. Some of these sites were re-visited and, in some instances, surveyed using a dGPS to correct inaccuracies and errors in the earlier survey. 21 new sites were recorded during the GI works. None of these were affected by the GI works. |
