| Description | The Archaeology Co. has been appointed by Mr John Cookson of JCL Groundworks Ltd to carry out archaeological trial trenching at South Farm, Kirkham as a part of planning permission consent 2021/1120. 4 trenches were excavated across the site. The trenches revealed Roman occupation layers to the southern side of the site. The northern side had less archaeology, although showed some features of Roman date cut into the natural clay. |
