Abstract:
An archaeological evaluation was carried out at on land at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School Annex. Eight linear trenches were excavated and revealed that the land around the annexe buildings had not been excessively disturbed by human interventions in the medieval and post-medieval periods. A shallow linear cut and two irregular pits/treebowls were observed, however, the features were probably modern relating to landscaping, or when the land around the school was used during WWII for cultivation purposes.
