We would like to highlight a recent article by doctoral student Alfie Lien-Talks, published in the most recent Historic England Research report.
Alfie is a Doctoral Student on a AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Partnership (CDP) studentship between the ADS, the University of York and Historic England. Alfie’s doctoral research focuses on exploring the accessibility and reusability of data generated from the Historic High Street.
Alfie’s article outlines his doctoral research and details how the vast quantities of data produced via archaeological and historical research can be reused by different stakeholders to inform our understanding of the historic environment and make decisions about future changes to it. In the article, Alfie demonstrates how this may work in practice by exploring the case study of the High Street Heritage Action Zone in Northallerton in North Yorkshire.
