Abstract: |
Kempnough Hall is an H-plan, timber-framed house which probably has medieval origins. This report concerns the south part of its east wing, now known as no. 247 Kempnough Hall Road, which is probably late 16th or early 17th century, and contains a heated parlour on the ground floor and a chamber on the first floor, the latter subdivided in the 19th century. This historic building assessment and recording were carried out to inform a forthcoming planning application for its refurbishment. |
