This Saturday 29th April, the CBA Yorkshire group will hold their annual symposium at Kings Manor, York. The event will take place from 10am to 4pm. The programme includes a varied array of speakers talking about the archaeology of Yorkshire.
In the afternoon several speakers will be discussing the work of the ADS:
Becky Hirst, Digital Archives Assistant at the ADS, will be presenting on ‘ADS and Community Archaeology: An Introduction to Archaeology Data Service Resources’.
Also, Katrina Garret, from MOLA, will be presenting on ‘The Archaeology Audience Network: building communities of trust in the archaeological sector to achieve real public value’.
The Archaeology Audience Network (AAN) is a project that brings together many of the UK’s leading archaeological organisations to better understand the audiences that public and community archaeology attracts and engages with in England. You can find out more about what the ADS have been doing as part of the AAN by reading this recent news post.
