One of the core activities of the Archaeology Data Service is to offer advice to its stakeholder communities on how best to create, deposit and preserve digital data. This is particularly important for researchers who have their activities funded by bodies, such as the AHRC, who specify that digital outputs are deposited with the ADS, for further information see our Funders page. The ADS also provide a technical advisory service to funding applicants who are preparing a technical appendix to accompany an application. This section of the ADS website contains links to information resources offering advice on a range of topics.
