This week a group of staff here from the ADS will travel to Edinburgh to attend the Computer Applications and Quantitative Method in Archaeology (CAA) UK conference. A branch of the international organisation, CAA UK is the UK based chapter that provides a focus for activities locally and holds a conference once a year. A large contingent of ADS staff attended the CAA International conference in Amsterdam earlier this year and one of our archivisits, Evelyn Curl, wrote a blog post about this experience.
A number of ADS staff will be attending the conference in Edinburgh this Friday and several will be delivering presentations, which include the following:
Friday 24th November 2024
9:30am How FAIR is bioarchaeological data: with a particular emphasis on making archaeological science data reusable – Alphaues Lien-Talks (University of York, Historic England, ADS).
11:20am One Big Jigsaw: Challenges in Disseminating 3D Data from the Former Curzon Street Station Yard – Valeria Carrillo Garza (ADS)
