An online workshop that ran on the 30th September 2020 for Headland Archaeology.
Abstract
This online workshop draws attention to the increasing importance of digital preservation to archaeology and the history of the ADS. It provides information on deposition routes, costing and charging, formats, metadata and data management planning. This session will be conclude with a practical demonstration of the ADS-easy system.
Outcomes
By the end of the workshop participants should have a clearer understanding of:
- an understanding of data management and best practice
- an understanding of the various submission streams for the deposition of data (with the ADS)
- an understanding of charging and the cost of submission
- an understanding of selection and retention
- a working knowledge of ADS-easy.
